Bomb in squid
Do you love good calamari? How would you feel if you found an explosive while biting into your delicious bowl of squid? That’s exactly what a fisherman from southern China found while cutting his catch. As he began to cut into the squid and reached the stomach, the knife hit something metallic. Upon close inspection, he couldn’t believe his eyes. Inside this deep-sea creature, there was an actual explosive waiting to explode. This kind of squid usually feeds on small fish and shrimps on the sea bed. It may have swallowed the shell, mistaking it for food. The shell probably fell from a military plane. Local police rushed to the spot immediately and performed a controlled detonation of the device.
How long the explosive was inside the squid is a mystery itself. If you like to see mysterious things like this one, make sure to hit the like and subscribe buttons so you don’t miss any new videos from us.

Hand in shark
Sharks aren’t the friendliest of animals, as we all probably know. Tiger sharks in particular are notorious for attacking humans, and former boxer Jimmy Smith found that out in the worst way possible. In 1935, a tiger shark of about four meters in length was found in a mysterious condition. Inside the sea animal, there was a burnt hand of a human. How it got there was a mystery. Since the hand was already in its decomposing state, the only way to identify the owner was by a tattoo of a boxer. After searching for days, the police finally traced the hand back to the Smith who was missing for over a couple of weeks before the hand was found inside the shark. Later it was revealed that a man named Patrick Brady took the life of the boxer and threw the body into the sea, where it was found by the tiger shark, who decided to turn it into a quick snack.
Steak knife in dog
You know the feeling when you bite off more than you can chew? Well, imagine that except a hundred times worse. When this half-year-old Staffordshire was experiencing pain and discomfort, his owner took him to the vet. Nobody in their worst nightmares was ready to know what they found out after they did an x-ray on the pup. There was a huge steak knife inside the dog’s stomach. It took the veterinary team about 45 minutes to get the knife out of the dog without hurting it. It’s surprising how the knife didn’t end up piercing the puppy somewhere. No one exactly knows how the knife ended up there, but the doctors think it was because of an underlying orthodontic problem that makes the puppy shut its mouth every time it opens it. This wasn’t the first case of dogs swallowing inedible objects. Another dog named Roxy ended up eating about a hundred nails, and a little Chihuahua picked nine needles for its dangerous meal.
What makes the dogs eat such dangerous, sharp objects is still a mystery. Some believe it may be because of their wild canine nature, while others think they simply don’t know better. Which do you think it is? Let us know in the comments below.
1000 coins in a turtle
The tradition of throwing coins into a lake or a fountain may seem harmless at first, but wait till you hear the story of this unfortunate turtle. The sad incident took place in the East of Thailand at Chonburi. The endangered green sea turtle was living in a pond where people used to throw coins for good luck, mostly accompanied by a wish. Some people may have gotten what they wished for, but in the process, the poor sea turtle got something that it absolutely didn’t wish for. It had mistaken the coins for food and ate a thousand of them, weighing about 11 pounds. After it was in visible pain and discomfort, the turtle was taken to the vet. There the doctors were able to remove the coins from its stomach. Even though the turtle seemed on its way to recovery, the doctor soon found out that the coins had caused permanent damage to the animal’s intestines and had caused a major infection. The turtle ultimately passed away after a few days of the surgery.
Garbage in Ostrich
Admit it or not, we humans are the reason for a lot of pain and suffering that happens in this world. Take this unfortunate ostrich as an example. The bird was found deceased with a stomach full of garbage left by the tourists. Ostriches usually stick to their regular diet of plants and leaves. However, they aren’t the pickiest eaters either. When the perfectly healthy ostrich passed away so suddenly, the zoo authorities decided to do an autopsy on it. What they found after was shocking and disturbing at the same time. There were ropes, several handkerchiefs, a glove, and several metal objects inside the poor creature. It had mistaken all of that as food. This is the most obvious proof of how we are destroying nature for us and for the other animals that live in it.
Alligator in Python
Who do you think will win the fight between an alligator and a python? If your answer was the alligator, think again. When these two extremely dangerous animals engage in a fight, anything is possible. In this case, it didn’t end well for the alligator as he was completely swallowed by the giant python. This picture clearly shows the alligator nicely placed inside the stomach of the snake. You might be skeptical about how the python can digest a whole alligator, but the incredible fact is that it only takes about a week for the animal to fully be digested. The pythons are actually known for eating large animals that significantly exceed them in size. The alligator isn’t the first animal that fell victim to pythons’ appetite. There have been cases of an antelope, dog, calf, and many more unlucky animals that were found inside the reptile’s belly. Some of them hadn’t even passed away yet.
Sea lion in a shark
Away from the land, in the ocean, the shark is the king. They rule and sometimes eat everything and everyone that steps foot into the vast sea. This time, it’s the 90 kg heavy sea lion that was about to face the gruesome fate. Being the lion of the sea doesn’t mean the shark will leave the lion alone. It was swimming in peace when out of nowhere the shark, which is much smaller in size, attacked the sea lion. The surprising incident took place in the waters of California right off the coast. The three-and-a-half-meter-long shark was then captured off the coast to get a closer look at the food chain of the local residents. Right after the shark was captured, there was something visibly large inside the animal’s belly. After the authorities took a closer look at the shark, the poor sea lion was discovered. How the shark managed to swallow something so larger than itself is a mystery itself. There were also several other animals’ bones inside the shark’s belly.
Caged Chickens in a Shark
Chicken is the favorite food for many of us and apparently for sharks too. Now, it’s not that surprising if a shark ate a chicken or two, right? But what about an entire chicken coop? Yes, you heard that right. There was an entire chicken coop, with the wood and nails and a bunch of chickens inside a shark’s stomach. The mysterious incident came to light after some fishermen caught the shark off the coast of Florida. After the shark was cut open, no one was ready for what they found inside the fish. The sharks hadn’t only eaten one or two chickens; there were several of them inside the cage. Who in their right mind would throw a cage filled with living chickens into the open ocean still baffles us. How the shark was able to swallow the whole thing is another mystery that’ll remain unsolved.
Rocks in a frog
If you have ornamental rocks lying around your home and you have a pet, you might want to reconsider your decision. Kermit, an exotic pet frog, was chilling in his tank when his owner realized something strange was happening. You see, usually, the toads eat insect larvae, spiders, slugs, and worms. But Kermit had a strange food preference. It was munching on the decorative tiny white rocks that the owner had put in the tank to make it look nice and cozy. Like any sane person, the owner rushed his pet to the vet after realizing the situation. There an x-ray revealed that there was not one, not two, but more than thirty of these tiny white stones inside the frog. The vet had to surgically remove all the stones from the toad’s stomach. It luckily made a full recovery from the rare ordeal. The owner, however, didn’t want to take that risk ever again and removed all the stones from the tank. Speaking of gobbling down stones, Kermit isn’t alone. It seems like many other animals might have mistaken the actual rocks for rock candies. Another major example of that is a one-month-old labrador that had swallowed as many as eighty-five pieces of these delicious-looking rocks that also had to go under a knife for their rock-solid meal.
Crocodiles in crocodiles
It may seem like the title indicates a mommy crocodile carrying her cute baby, but it’s actually much more gruesome than that. The 9.8-foot-long crocodile was mummified and had been on display in the National Museum of Antiquities in Leiden, Netherlands. The mummy had been on display since 1828 before it was taken for a thorough scan in 2016. They wanted to make their display more interesting by adding detailed scans of the perfectly preserved animal. The museum authorities had suspected that there might be another crocodile inside the bigger one. Little did they know that the crocodile that had been right in front of them for more than a hundred years had an additional 47 baby crocodiles stuffed inside of it, also mummified and stuffed. No, this isn’t some messed-up cannibalistic trait of the wild animal. It’s actually part of a ritual performed by the ancient Egyptians about two and a half thousand years ago. The Egyptians are famous for mummifying their pharaohs and other animals perfectly. This ritual was a tribute to the god Sobek, the protector of Egypt from the danger of the Nile River. The embodiment of the river God was the crocodile. People back then sure had some seriously bizarre rituals.
Thumb in a trout
When you go fishing, what do you expect to find? No matter what your answer is, it’s for sure not a severed finger. But for Nolan Calvin, a fisherman who had caught a trout in a lake in Idaho, that became the reality. The man was preparing the fish when he found a severed finger inside its stomach. Despite the scary situation, Nolan kept his calm and tried to preserve the solitary finger in a bucket of ice before calling the local sheriff’s office. As it turns out, the finger was the aftermath of a skateboarding accident that had happened two months earlier. The owner of that finger is Haans Galassi from Washington. He had lost four of his fingers when his fingers got caught in a loop of the towline he was grabbing on. It’s just as horrifying as it sounds, and the incident ended up amputating four of Galassi’s fingers. When the sheriff called him about the ordeal, he calmly asked if they had called to inform him about his lost finger. The trout had carried the finger eight miles away from where he had originally lost it. However, as one might imagine, the finger wasn’t in that state to be reattached anymore. So instead of throwing the amputated finger away, the fisherman kept it in a glass jar to show off to his friends. I don’t know about you guys, but I wouldn’t want to befriend this guy. Some things are best left unseen.

Garbage in the bull
Remember the poor eagle we talked about? As it turns out, it isn’t the only one who suffered from the garbage rampage we humans are on. Bulls only eat vegetation or grass, to be exact, but for Nandi, a seven-year-old bull from Pune, India, the diet looked very different. He was taken to the vet after people noticed his extremely swollen belly. The bull was discovered by the workers of animal welfare charities. Because of his severely swollen stomach, his back was bent, and he was unable to stand with severe pain. The veterinarians performed an emergency rumenotomy surgery, and what they found was shocking, to say the least. Inside Nandi’s stomach, there was 85 kilograms of garbage, including plastic bags, sharp metal, and other inedible stuff, some of which are thought to have been there for more than 6/7 years. Thankfully, after the successful surgery, the bull made a full recovery. Nandi is one of many abandoned bulls in India. Because of the beef ban in the country, the local farmers simply abandon the bulls after they become unproductive. After they have been left on their own, they eat anything that looks remotely like food, and because of the huge amount of plastic on the streets of India despite the recycling law, the animals end up eating a lot of it. If this doesn’t inspire us to be more careful about plastic usage, nothing will.
Dentures in a dog
Sure, dentures are supposed to be inside animals, as in, inside humans who need a bit of help eating stuff, but that’s no reason for them to be found in the stomach of a dog. A nine-year-old bulldog nicknamed King Edward did something not so king-like. It stole its owner’s fake dentures to play with it. Now instead of being a cute story of a dog wearing dentures, it took an unexpected turn when the king accidentally swallowed the whole thing. When the dog’s owner couldn’t find the dentures anywhere, he finally uncovered the mystery. What’s still a mystery, though, is how did the dog find the dentures in an ice-cream bowl? I mean, who keeps their dentures in such a place, especially when an overactive dog is running around the house? In fact, the ice cream itself shouldn’t have been anywhere around the dog, as this kind of snack is only reserved for the pet parents and not the pets themselves. Whether the man still used the artificial jaw after it had been inside his pet baby or not is still unknown.
Deer in a Python
We’ve already mentioned that pythons are great eaters that can consume animals even five times their size. Another example of that is this deer. Despite having a comparatively small jaw, swallowing a deer isn’t much of a trouble for this 5-meter-long python. Pythons first strangle their prey until they pass away before swallowing them whole. In some instances, however, the prey can still be alive and moving when they start their binge eating. This python found deceased in Southern Florida probably had a similar meal right before its demise. An autopsy performed on the giant reptile revealed that it had a very filling meal by consuming an entire deer. Even for one of the largest pythons in the U.S., it had bitten off a bit more than it could chew, which may have been the cause of its demise.
Armor in a shark
So sharks eat a lot of weird things, things they aren’t supposed to be eating to be exact. But this one might just be the weirdest of them all. A French physicist listed a bizarre incident in his diary in 1554. He was writing a guide to sea creatures where he mentioned a shark was found with an entire armor suit inside of it. How the suit got there is still not clear. It may have swallowed the abandoned suit, or it may have eaten a knight with his suit as a snack. According to his diary, they could salvage almost the full suit apart from the helmet.
Since this happened a very long time ago, there is no way to exactly say if the information is authentic or not. We will let you be the judge of that. What do you think? Do you think it’s real? Share our views with us.
money in a shark
Robbing is done by humans only, right? Wrong. As it turns out, sharks are also capable of that. Well, obviously it’s not the case literally, but to the fishermen that found the shark, it sure looked like it. The fishermen were fishing right off the coast of Florida when they found the tiger shark. Once they cut it open, to their surprise, there was a full bag of money inside the animal. Since the bag was already half-digested, there is no way to tell how much money was in the bag or where it came from. Some pirates may have dumped their steal and ran from the police, or the bag may have come from some ridiculously rich person’s yacht. No matter the case, the shark sure has expensive taste. This isn’t the first time expensive things were found inside sharks. Other things include whole bottles of wine, fur coats, and even a cannonball.
Hungry elephant Jambo
Jumbo was a male African that was brought to London by the British and put in a zoo. The elephant became really popular among the English, and many people came to visit it every day. That’s when P.T. Barnum thought it would bring great profit if he could put him in a circus, so he bought Jumbo and started a traveling circus starring the elephant. Even Winston Churchill and Theodore Roosevelt have been seen riding Jumbo in the circus, Petey and Barn. One day, when the elephant was crossing a rail track while being kept at a railway classification yard in Ontario, Canada, after a circus performance, a train hit him, and he passed away soon after. After the incident, when his innards were removed, a huge load of garbage was found inside. Coins, keys, nails, and even a police whistle are some examples.
Socks in a dog
Are you frustrated with losing your socks around the house? Well, we don’t want to point any fingers, but perhaps you should keep a close eye on your pet canine. The pet parents of this three-year-old puppy sure wish they did. The puppy was vomiting when its owners decided to take it to the vet. The X-ray at the clinic revealed something truly bizarre. There were 43 and a half socks inside the poor puppy’s stomach. It had become severely ill because of the huge amount of foreign objects inside. The vet had to perform emergency surgery to remove the socks. The dog may have mistaken the socks as chew toys or food. Is it just me, or are you also curious how the owners did not notice so many socks missing from their household? On the brighter side of things, the doctors decided to have a competition for the strangest find in the stomach of an animal, and the dog took third place, winning a prize of 500 dollars. Perhaps the owners can use the money to buy some dog-friendly chew toys for their pet.
Lamp in a puppy
In that same competition, another puppy took first place for the strangest find in the stomach of an animal. What was it this time? A light bulb. How this puppy managed to swallow the entire bulb without shattering it is a mystery, but thank God it did, because the situation could have been much worse if it hadn’t. The puppy won the first prize for best X-ray, and the greatest prize of all is the fact that it could easily pass the bulb away after a few IVs without any complications or surgery. It hadn’t even cracked, and the process went smoothly. A puppy-shaped table lamp might be cute; an actual puppy with a bulb in its tummy, however, is not.

Turtles in a crocodile
A turtle’s shell protects them from the outside dirt, pollution, and light attacks. That said, since the shell is made up of the same materials that hair and nails are made of, it isn’t all that hard to bite into for a large crocodile. In fact, crocodiles are often seen devouring humans and turtles. What’s not often seen, however, are three turtles found inside a croc’s tummy not only undigested but alive. Yes, you heard that right. There is this video that shows how two alive and one deceased turtle come out of a crocodile’s belly when two hunters were preparing the crocodile for cooking. It’s truly incredible how two of those tiny crocodiles survived inside the stomach of the crock.
