Alex Segura

After all kinds of experiments and investigations, science has proved that an average person can live without oxygen for approximately 5 minutes. Maybe 9 minutes in the case of a trained diver. However, this did not prevent Alex Segura from staying underwater without air for as long as 24 minutes and 3 seconds. Two years later, Budimir Shobat beat this record and stayed without oxygen for 8 seconds longer. Now that really is breathtaking.

Silvio Sabba

The record is 45 and was achieved by Italian fitness trainer Silvio Sabba. That might not knock your socks off, but its appearance in our list is due to Sabba being a serial world record holder. He currently holds 70 titles, including most clothes pegs on your face in one minute (51), most Ferrero Rocher chocolates stacked in a tower (12), most AA batteries held in one hand (48), most sugar cubes balanced on the chin (17), most CDs balanced on the finger (255), and fastest time to shell a boiled egg (2.66 secs). Sabba even has a tattoo saying “Guinness World Records” on his right forearm.

The 42-year-old so-called “daredevil” in California successfully landed on the tensioned platform between construction cranes at 20 floors. When he regained consciousness, he immediately embraced his wife and loved ones.

Johan Schwartz

Car instructor Johan Schwartz became a record-breaker in the field of non-stop car drifting in 2018. Drift is a controlled skid during which the car moves at an angle.

Johan Schwartz drifted the BMW M5 in a circle for 8 hours without stopping. To set this insane Guinness world record without stopping for refueling, the BMW specialists have devised how to fill the tank on the move. Another car was launched into a parallel drift, and the stuntman sitting in it was pulled out of the window to connect a hose to Schwartz’s BMW and pump the right amount of petrol into it.

As a result, for five refuelings, 374 kilometers, and 8 hours, Schwartz managed to set a new world record. By the way, the last set record was less by 210 kilometers.

Laso Schaller

Swiss cliff diver Laso Schaller set a world record in diving from heights. After going to the Alps, he jumped from a natural elevation of almost 59 meters (58.8). For comparison, 19-floor houses reach the same height.

Several ionizers were previously submerged in the water to soften the surface of the reservoir he was supposed to land in. However, even after that, this was an extremely dangerous world record because the expected fall rate was about 120 km/h.

As a result, the Swiss speed was 3 km/h higher than expected, but, thanks to the correct entry into the water, Schaller managed to get away with a small injury to his right leg.
